Many of the songs are cover versions and sound decent enough. My kids found this feature more entertaining than actually dancing to the songs. For example, they can tell the dancers to dance as zombies or chickens and boost their score as they see fit. The Wii U version supports up to five players and the person holding the GamePad can be a conductor and change dance styles for the player in the Just Dance mode.
The last mode is Team High Score where all of the dancers must work together instead of competing against one another. It's a neat concept, but non-readers may not pick up on it. The Freeze & Shake mode has the dancers intermittently stopping and shaking the Wii remote throughout the song. There are three game modes including the standard Just Dance mode. Weak Points: No expandability and less features than Just Dance 2014 Strong Points: Nice family friendly selection of songs We all enjoyed "Day-O", The Fraggle Rock theme and "I Like To Move It". As a parent I enjoyed some of the oldies like "Walking on Sunshine", "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" and "Footloose". Some recent songs like "One Thing" by One Direction and Selena Gomez's "Hit The Lights" make an appearance as well. Slightly older kids will enjoy "Getting Ready to Wiggle" from the Wiggles and "The Freeze Game" from Yo Gabba Gabba. Toddlers will enjoy groovings to songs like "Mary Had A Little Lamb", "Hickory Dickory Dock" and "Skip To My Lou". The built in track list of roughly thirty songs is decent and offers a few songs for all age groups. If songs like Ghostbusters and 99 Luftballons from the main game were available for purchase, I would have bought them in a heartbeat. I miss the store and the ability to add (family friendly) songs to the game. Sadly, the Just Dance Kids 2014 version is a bit lack luster in features and pales in comparison to the regular version. After being exposed to the track list of Just Dance 2014, a kid's version was sorely needed. While we're no strangers to the Just Dance series, this is our first time playing a kids version of the game. Thank you Ubisoft for sending us this game to review! Available on Wii™, Wii U™, and Kinect for Xbox360.This is a great game for those cold winter months when it is too miserable to go outside! My kids often get a little stir crazy heading in to February, so I’m excited to have one more option for them to play when they get bored that actually gets them moving! The interface was easy enough for my little kids to navigate and even my big kids tried it out. My kids loved this game, and I was glad you could set it to four players.
I was very happy to see that the dance moves were G rated and I didn’t have to worry about my kids learning a move I would be embarrassed for them try at a wedding reception! The dance moves were easy to follow and even my four year old was able to complete most of the moves. They found one of their favorite songs (there is a nice mix between popular songs and fun kids’ songs) and started dancing. We started on the easy level with the four year- old and eleven year old.
